Stallholders Terms and Conditions
By paying the stallholders fee, you have read and agreed to the Terms and Conditions of Petite Flea Ltd – Baby & Children’s Markets.
Bookings: Bookings will be allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. When you make your booking please make sure that your email address and postal address are correct. If you don’t hear from us to confirm your booking, please email us.
Petite Flea Ltd reserve the right to reject bookings, on the grounds that the type of business or craft stall being booked is unsuitable for the market or for any other reason given by Petite Flea Ltd.
Stall Allocation: Petite Flea Ltd reserve the right to decide the allocation and positioning of stalls on market day.
Stall Hire Fee Includes:
- One or two trestle tables as booked, approximately 1.8m x 0.6m (6’ x 2’)
- One tablecloth per table hired, to be left in place at end of the event
- Floorspace as booked. Space can be booked in 3ftx3ft increments. One 3ftx3ft space is generally enough to place a clothes hanging rail, or one large item, such as a pushchair/buggy/cot. We recommend dismantling larger items and displaying with a photograph of assembled product
- Storage space under your table(s)
- Stalls may be manned by a max of 2 persons
If you hire a clothes rail this will be a standard sized rail approx 84cm wide and height adjustable. Hangers are not supplied.
Pre-loved Stallholders: Sale is permitted of the following items; Quality pre-loved maternity, babies, toddlers, and children’s items. We recommend only displaying items suitable for children aged 6 and under. All toys and other items that require batteries must be offered for sale in full working order with batteries installed.
Craft and Business Stallholders; Please only display or promote the following; New or handmade items relating to maternity, babies, toddlers, and children; Services relating to maternity and young families. Business stalls are welcome to give out flyers/samples etc. from their stall, but may not walk around the venue giving out information. Food stall holders are responsible for complying with specific Food Hygiene requirements and must hold the relevant certificates and registrations required by a food business along with suitable public liability insurance.
Unsuitable Items: Items or services unrelated to maternity, babies or young children are not allowed to be sold. If items are deemed to be broken, in poor condition, dangerous and in breach of Health and Safety legislations or trading standards advice, you may be requested to remove them from sale.
Public Liability Insurance: All BUSINESS stallholders MUST forward a copy of their certificate of Public Liability Insurance to Petite Flea Ltd prior to the day of the event.
Stallholder Refunds: If a stallholder is unable to attend a market for which they have pre-booked, the stallholder fee is non-refundable. Where possible, we may consider transfer to another market date.
In the unlikely event that the stallholder is dissatisfied with attendance at an event, stall fees are non-refundable.
In the event of a Petite Flea Ltd market being cancelled, stallholders will receive a 100% refund of stall fee paid.
Set up and pack up of your stall: Doors open to stallholders 1 hour prior to the start of the event. We suggest that you use this full hour for the preparation of your stall. Late arrivals may not be admitted within 30 minutes of the market opening time
Stallholders should pack up only when the organisers declare the venue closed. Once the market has closed, stallholders and their belongings must vacate the building within 30 minutes.
Stallholders must remove all waste, litter and unsold items from the venue when leaving the event. Petite Flea Ltd reserve the right to dispose of any items left behind following an event. Please leave your tablecloth on the table.
Venue rules: We only use lovely venues, so please look after them. Stallholders will be financially responsible for any damages they cause to the market venue. It is NOT allowed to hang, tape, glue, nail, screw or in any other way affix items to any wall, door, floor, curtain or any other part of the building. If you have heavy items, that you cannot pick up by yourself, please request help from one of the Petite Flea Ltd staff, who will be happy to help. This will prevent floors from being unnecessarily damaged.
Transactions: Petite Flea Ltd accept no responsibility for any transaction entered into at the market venue.
Refusal of Admission: Petite Flea Ltd reserve the right to refuse admission to the market to any person without giving any reason for the same and to eject or cause to be ejected any person and/or his/her goods without giving any reason for the same.
Security: Stallholders are responsible for their own stall security and monies. No responsibility is taken by the organisers for theft, loss or damage to items. Petite Flea Ltd accept no liability for the theft, loss or damage of any personal items for sale from the stallholder’s stalls or other items within the boundaries of the event. All persons who enter the market area do so at their own risk.
Health and Safety: Petite Flea Ltd are committed to providing, maintaining and promoting the highest standards of Health, Safety and Welfare at each event. Under Health & Safety legislation, Stallholders are responsible for the safety of their table/stall, i.e. setting items up in a safe & secure manner to avoid accidents and the stallholder agrees to indemnify Petite Flea Ltd against all claims arising out of negligence on the part of the stallholder and/or their helpers. Stallholders are responsible for all activities that take place on their stall throughout the event and any actions that could affect others as a result of their activity. If you choose to bring along children at the event, it is the stallholder’s responsibility to ensure their safety and wellbeing is met at all times during the event.
Liability: The stallholder agrees to indemnify Petite Flea Ltd against all claims for damages or injury to the property or person of any persons in respect of any claim by any such person arising out of any faulty or dangerous products sold by the stallholder or his agents or servants.
Illegal Activity: Petite Flea Ltd shall not be held responsible for the non-compliance by a stallholder with any Law, By-law, Regulation, Act or Statute.
